The template offers some predefined sample goals which you can choose from among them. But if you want to create your own customized goals and add more details, the Custom option is a better choice. When your goal is set, then choose a name for it. Remember it should be relevant to its definition so that you can find the goals easily. 

Now, you should clarify types of your goal. For this purpose you should choose one of the options below: 

  • Event: as it is clear by its name, an Event Goal is an event that is completed. It can be a special offer for a purchase or it can be an off for website products. 
  • Duration: this sets your goal as the duration a user remains on your website. If a user remains on your website more than this defined duration, your goal is accomplished. 
  • Destination: this is for goals that define a specific page or content to be visited. Indeed a specific destination is set up as your goal. 
  • Pages/Screen per session: this goal is set when you want your visitors to visit a specific number of pages in a specific time interval. 

As we mentioned before, working with Google Analytics is not difficult and it can help you improve your website performance and efficiency and increase your income by identification of valuable pages.
